Curriculum Vitae

Graduated as a biologist from the university of my native Athens, then pursued an MSc in biomedical sciences in the university of Antwerp. My interest in global health led me to choose to major in infectious and tropical diseases during my master’s and complete my degree with an internship in viral epidemiology and phylogenetics. After a year in industry, I was drawn into the world of parasitology and neglected tropical diseases and I started my work at the LUMC in the group of Meta Roestenberg, first as a research technician and later as a PhD candidate working in translational parasitology. I have been living in Amsterdam since 2021 and I am always on the move.
