Key collaborators include LUCID Molecular Virology colleagues Dr. Martijn van Hemert, Dr. Marjolein Kikkert, and Dr. Sebenzile Myeni and their teams. Within LUMC, long-term collaborations exist with the Electron Microscopy group of the Department of Cell and Chemical Biology (CCB; Dr. Montserrat Bárcena and Prof. Bram Koster) and the Center for Proteomics and Metabolomics (CPM; Prof. Martin Giera and Dr. Peter van Veelen), particularly for studies on virus–host interactions. Past nidovirus collaborators at LUMC include emeritus virology professors Prof. Alexander Gorbalenya and Prof. Willy Spaan, as well as many international colleagues in the nidovirus field. In the context of collaborative research on emerging RNA viruses and antiviral drug development, we work closely with numerous long-standing European partners, most recently through the CARE and PANVIPREP projects.
